2023 CANOE TRIP!!!


The Watershed District's annual canoe trip will be held on June 9th.  The trip typically begins around 9 AM and concludes with a complimentary lunch.  A limited number of canoes/kayaks are available to use.  Send the registration and waiver forms below to trudy.hastad@lqpco.com to sign up.  Below are some pictures from a successful trip in 2022!

WATERSHED COORDINATOR

(35 hour/week)

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-year degree, or 2-year related experience in natural resources, hydrology, environmental science, GIS, agriculture or related field.  Bachelor degree (B.A.) preferred.
  • Experience/proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ArcGIS.
  • Ability to comprehend and navigate State software programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with the public.
  • Basic accounting knowledge a plus.
  • Valid drivers' license, able to provide proof of insurance, clean driving record.

Salary Range:  $42,500 - $45,000

Benefit package includes:  Health, Life, Vision, Dental insurance, PERA, paid holidays

Del Clark Lake Sediment Retention Basins


Click on the photos below to view a time lapse of sediment retention basins that will filter pollutants prior to reaching the lake and help protect the status of Del Clark as a lake in full support of aquatic recreational use.  These projects were completed in June, 2021 with the aid of a Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources Clean Water Fund grant.

The MPCA is seeking citizen lake and stream monitoring volunteers.
