The Lac qui Parle-Yellow Bank Watershed District's Mission is to: 
Serve as a partner in water planning and management with the State Agencies, Counties, Cities, & Soil & Water Conservation Districts, and assist with the management of water quality and quantity within the Lac qui Parle-Yellow Bank Watershed boundaries.

The MPCA is seeking citizen lake and stream monitoring volunteers.

The Watershed office is now open to the public.  Please enter through the east door of the courthouse, where you will be screened and instructed where to go.  

Stonehill Park is Now open.  Please follow social distancing and posted guidance.  Limited access to restroom facilities at the beach remain in effect. 

With the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we will unfortunately not be holding our annual canoe trip in June. It is our hope that river levels and the pandemic situation will allow for us to carefully prepare for a safe trip later in the season. Stay tuned, and in the meantime take a kayak out and explore somewhere new on your own!​​
