2022 CANOE TRIP!!!


The Watershed District's annual canoe trip was held on June 3rd.  It was another successful trip with perfect weather on a portion of the Lac qui Parle river in southern Lac qui Parle County.  Thirty-two people paddled along this year!

The Lac qui Parle-Yellow Bank Watershed District's Mission is to: 
Serve as a partner in water planning and management with the State Agencies, Counties, Cities, & Soil & Water Conservation Districts, and assist with the management of water quality and quantity within the Lac qui Parle-Yellow Bank Watershed boundaries.

tuesday, July 5, 2022 @ 4:30 p.m.  Meeting location: LqP county multimedia room - west end of elementary school in Madison.  Meeting will also be conducted virtually ViA Zoom, please call 320-598-3117 for access information. 




The MPCA is seeking citizen lake and stream monitoring volunteers.

Del Clark Lake Sediment Retention Basins


Click on the photos below to view a time lapse of sediment retention basins that will filter pollutants prior to reaching the lake and help protect the status of Del Clark as a lake in full support of aquatic recreational use.  These projects were completed in June, 2021 with the aid of a Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources Clean Water Fund grant.
