The Lac qui Parle-Yellow Bank Watershed District's Mission is to: 
Serve as a partner in water planning and management with the State Agencies, Counties, Cities, & Soil & Water Conservation Districts, and assist with the management of water quality and quantity within the Lac qui Parle-Yellow Bank Watershed boundaries.

Photo Contest - Deadline extended to November 22nd!

The watershed is asking for submissions for the annual photo contest.  Please submit photos and entry forms to  Limit submissions to 3 photos.  Photos should be from all seasons and relate to the watershed.  You can be creative but please make sure the photo is taken within the watershed.  Entry forms can be found in the Permits & Applications tab.  Cash prizes for winning entries, and selected photos may be used by the watershed!  Check out some past submissions in the slideshow on the left side of the page!

The MPCA is seeking citizen lake and stream monitoring volunteers.  

This could be an opportunity for you to have an impact on protecting and improving your favorite lake or stream.  Click here for links with more information on volunteering and how to sign up.
